KD Aunt Pearl (S)

 

Nike has created many different designs in the past. They have recently shown pictures for the upcoming KD Aunt Pearl. The aunt pearl design has been a tradition for the KD collection. They have released this design for the past three years now and has been going good for them every since the start. The usual theme for the aunt pearl consists of a pink accents with a white glossy texture added in through the shoe. With this years addition, they decided to add a color or two and go with a different design throughout the whole shoe. Also, these shoes are made for breast cancer due to the colors that are in it and the logo that is placed on the tongue. Kay Yow Cancer Fund is the other logo on the shoe. These shoes are made for Durants's aunt that died from cancer. They start with a pink floral color that wraps around half the shoe as they other half is a shiny blue floral color. The logos on the pink part of the shoe are accented in blue as the logo in the blue part of the shoe are accented in pink. The laces on this shoe are a solid pink as it matches the logo on the top of the tongue. The sole and airbag are colored in pink to match the rest of the shoe and help the colorway flow better. I like these shoes because of the colors and how they are laid out on the shoe. I'm not a big fan of pink, but these shoes make me like it more. Also, the background story on this shoe is really cool and I think that was a great idea for Durant to do. The only part of this shoe that I don't like that much is the floral pattern even though it makes the shoe pop a little more. These shoes will be dropped in stores on February 27, at a price of $150.
