Nike and KD has done a tremendous job of creating new shoes throughout the year consistently. They have showed off their best colorways with the sixth addition in the KD series and have really showed their creativity. In the past, most of the shoes in the series were a low cut shoe. Last year they decided to change it up and go to a mid cut shoe and then went back to tradition with the KD 6 making it a low cut shoe. The low cut shoe became really popular as the KD 6 debuted their first shoe. With all star break passing and teams getting ready for playoffs, Nike usually starts preparing for an addition to the shoe. Some may call it a tradition now, but in the past they started creating an elite version of the shoe, making it more vibrant and different from the original version to tell the difference. With the elite version of the KD 6, it starts off with a photo blue base covering the whole shoe including the tongue. Little designs are drawn throughout the shoe to catch peoples eyes. The red Nike swoosh on the front of the shoe matches the red logo that is places on the tip of the tongue. The KD symbol that is placed towards the back half of the shoe is a yellow color that fades into a red color making it more vibrant. To the top the shoe off, fly wire is placed on both the inside and the outside of the shoe making the shoe more stable, durable and to make it look better. I like this shoe based on its colors and what they did within these colors. Although there were discussions about this shoe looking like the LeBron 10 low, I think differently and say it is a creation of its own. They did a great job of continuing the elite version of this shoe and tradition. This shoe will be released on April 11th at a starting price of $200.
