As Nike and Jordan keep producing more and more shoes, they also look to recreate. The Jordan company has recreated a bunch of numbers in the Jordan collection. They have also created new color ways and styles that are based off shoes in the collection. The Jordan 9's are being introduced again as they had their first look on feet in 2001. They are one of the most popular shoes in the series and this 2014 addition really brings out the renewed shoe. The name of this shoe described Jordan before he really began his legendary career as a professional basketball player. The Birmingham Barons is a minor league baseball team in Albany which this shoe is named after. These shoes start out with a white base as grey is wrapped around and supports the back portion of the shoe. Black is placed on the trim of the shoe and also appears on the laces and the tongue of this shoe. Air Jordan is placed at the tip of the tongue to emphasize the brand of the shoe. Although his season was short as a baseball player, they placed his number, 45, on the back of the shoe to elaborate on one of his great moments in his career as an athlete. To finish it off, a striped black and grey pattern fits the in sole of the shoe and a large Jordan symbol covers the sole of the shoe. In my opinion, I like these shoes. The colors are in their respective spots to form this shoe into something that is more than presentable. Also, knowing the background story on these shoes makes even better and easier to test people on their knowledge. They will be available on April 5th at a price of $170. Get a pair before their gone.
